Check another date: pick any date to see the weeks and days left in that date's year. This does not change today's result until you pick a date.

Calculation method: days left counts from tomorrow through December 31, so today is not counted and December 31 is counted. Days elapsed counts from January 1 through today, so today is counted. Days left plus days elapsed always equals the days in the year: 365, or 366 in a leap year. Dates are handled at UTC midnight, so time zones and daylight saving changes never shift the answer.

    How the Count Works

The count uses one simple rule, applied the same way every day. Days left starts tomorrow and runs through December 31, so today is not counted and the last day of the year is counted. Days elapsed starts at January 1 and runs through today, so today is counted. Because of that, days left plus days elapsed always equals the number of days in the year. As an example, on October 22, 2025 there were 70 days left in 2025, 295 days had elapsed, and year progress was 80.8 percent, since 295 plus 70 equals 365. In a leap year the same rule uses 366 days, and February 29 counts like any other day. On January 1 only 1 day has elapsed, and on December 31 there are 0 days left and year progress is 100 percent.
