DateNook respects the intellectual property rights of others and follows the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The calculators, text, and design on this site are our own original work. This page explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content is removed.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that material on DateNook infringes your copyright, send us a notice through our Contact page that includes all of the following:

  1. Your full name and contact information (email address, and optionally a phone number or postal address).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. The exact URL on DateNook where the allegedly infringing material appears.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable).

What Happens Next

We review every complete notice promptly. Where a notice is valid, we will remove or disable access to the material in question. If the material was posted by a user, we may notify that user about the removal.

Counter-Notification

If your material was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, or that you had the right to use the material, you may send a counter-notification through our Contact page that includes:

  1. Your full name and contact information.
  2. The URL of the material that was removed.
  3. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you are located (or, if outside the United States, to the courts in the jurisdiction where DateNook operates), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Where a valid counter-notification is received, the removed material may be restored 10 to 14 business days later, unless the original complainant informs us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat Infringers

Where applicable, we will terminate access for users who are repeat infringers.
